Liberty Poole has been booted off Dancing On Ice after a tense skate-off at the end of Sunday’s show.
The Love Island star said goodbye to the skating rink this evening, as the four judges - Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - chose to save Kye Whyte from elimination.
For the fifth week skate-off, Liberty and Joe danced to Right Round by Flo Rida and Ke$ha while Kye and Tippy did their routine to Supermassive Black Hole by Muse.
Speaking after the exit was confirmed, as the latest to be axed from the show Liberty told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "Even though we had that fall tonight, these things happen on ice.
"I've honestly enjoyed every second and I'm proud of myself because I pushed myself this week. I just want to thank everyone behind the scenes for always being there to support me."
She continued: "I want to thank my mum as well for being in the audience every week. She's my rock."
However, fans were not impressed with the result, with many saying Kye and Liberty should not have been in the skate-off.
One wrote: "Nope not happy. None of them should be in the skate off #DancingOnIce" as another said: "It’s clearly a popularity contest. I think this might be my last season with DOI. It’s just too farcical now."
A third wrote: "Should have been Sally and Bez #DancingOnIce"
Another tweeted: "What a load of rubbish. Bez to go. Complete fix #dancingonice"
This came after the Love Island star took a tumble during Sunday’s instalment of Dancing on Ice.
The 22-year-old fell from the arms of her partner Joe Johnson during their performance, with fans in the studio audience gasping in response.
Liberty and Joe quickly recovered and completed their routine for the score of 28 out of 40 from the judging panel, marking the pair's highest score in the competition despite the slip up.
Host Phillip Schofield said: "We thought you were home and dry."
Liberty replied: "What happened? That hasn’t happened before, but sometimes it just happens when it’s never actually happened before."
Phillip replied: "The most important thing is you got up and carried on."
Phillip Schofield returned to presenting duties alongside Holly Willoughby after Stephen Mulhern stepped in to host last week as Phillip was forced to isolate after testing positive for Covid-19.
This week's instalment of Dancing on Ice once again saw the contestants take to the rink in the hopes of impressing the judges and the viewers at home.
This comes after the first two eliminations from the competition saw Ben Foden and Ria Hebden sent home.
Last week Dancing on Ice fans said goodbye to S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens after she landed in the bottom two alongside Olympic BMX rider Kye Whyte.
When leaving the show, Rachel told the viewers at home: "I have really loved it, it's been an amazing experience. I've loved dancing with Brendyn so much."
Rachel’s exit left helmet-donning Happy Mondays singer, and wayward skater, Bez admitting that he feels “awful” about staying in the competition.
Bez said: "The judges having the final say is my only saving grace. That stops me completely crumbling about it."
The original 12 contestants that took to the ice for this year's series were Coronation Street ’s Sally Dynevor, Bez, Paralympian Stef Reid, Regan Gascoigne, Ben Foden, Love Island ’s Liberty Poole and Rachel Stevens.
They were joined by Brendan Cole, Kimberley Wyatt, Kye Whyte, The Vamps member Connor Ball and Ria Hebden.
