Lib Dem economic plan to put UK at heart of Europe and entice start-ups to stay

The Lib Dems’ plan for growth would put the UK at the heart of Europe, deputy leader Daisy Cooper is set to say, as she warns that a “computer says no” economy is holding the country back.

They are also calling for the Chancellor to immediately cut fuel duty by 10p a litre until at least Christmas, with leader Sir Ed Davey saying the move would ease pressures caused by “Donald Trump’s idiotic war with Iran” that are making it more expensive to get around.
