Aberdeen have snapped up Liam Scales on a season-long loan deal from Celtic.
The 23-year-old Irishman, who can play at centre-back or left-back, has put pen to paper for the season at Pittodrie as Jim Goodwin continues to add to his ranks ahead of his first full summer in charge of the Reds. Scales joined Celtic in 2021 after playing a major role in Shamrock Rovers' league title success in 2020.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 star, who was called up to the senior set-up last year - will bring a different dimension to the Aberdeen defence reckons his new boss as he aims to get consistent game-time under his belt after struggling to pin down regular minutes under Ange Postecoglou at Celtic. He becomes the third summer arrival at the Dons.
