Liam Payne has reportedly split from his girlfriend Kate Cassidy after 10 months of dating.
The former One Direction star made his red-carpet debut with the 23-year-old at the British Fashion Awards in December after they were first pictured together on Halloween, dressed as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, and were later spotted enjoying a dinner date.
However, it appears that it wasn’t meant to be for the pair as it has been reported that Cassidy has moved out of the 29-year-old singer’s home and back to the US.
A source told The Sun: “There was no big row or anything – it just ran its course and they both mutually decided to go their separate ways.
“Liam knows it’s the right decision, he’s been throwing himself into his music and the rest of the year he is jam-packed with work.”
The Standard has contacted Liam Payne’s rep for comment.
News of his relationship woes comes after Payne revealed that he has not taken his son Bear to any football games as he tries to keep “him as protected as possible”.
Six-year-old Bear is his son with Girls Aloud star Cheryl. In April, Payne opened up about fatherhood as he prepared for charity football game Soccer Aid in June.
“I started my career when I was 14 and I’ve been doing it for half my life and I haven’t not been in the spotlight since then and I want him to make his own choice on that sort of thing,” he told PA.
“So we don’t get to do as many dates out as I’d like, not that he lives a sheltered life, he has a very, very fun time with friends and stuff.
“But if me and Cheryl turn up somewhere, it’s a bit difficult sometimes to keep your heads down.”
