Liam Payne’s girlfriend gives health update after he was hospitalised with kidney pain

Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has given an update on his health.

The former One Direction star, 30, sent fans into panic mode when he was rushed to hospital earlier this month after experiencing “agonising pain” while in Lake Como, Italy, where he was celebrating his one-year anniversary with his other half.

Payne’s emergency dash came after he was forced to cancel his South American tour due to a “serious kidney infection”.

Now, Cassidy has taken to TikTok to assure that Payne is “in good hands”.

In the clip, the influencer is getting ready for a night out in London in celebration of fashion week when she notes: “I’ve gotten a lot of comments asking about Liam”.

Adding: “He’s doing so much better, he’s out of the hospital and he’s in good hands”.

This will certainly come as a relief to Payne’s ex, Cheryl Tweedy, whom he shares six-year-old son Bear.

She is said to have been left “upset” upon learning of the Strip That Down singer’s latest scare.

A source told OK!: “Cheryl is a strong person, she’s very kind and she just wants Liam to be happy and healthy. She’s always tried to support him because he’s Bear’s father and she’s always tried to be there for him.”

The source added: “It’s very hard for Cheryl – she feels upset about it. She is worried and concerned for Liam because he’s Bear’s dad and she wants him to be the best dad he can be.”

Payne’s mum Karen has also been “worried sick” about her son’s condition. “It’s so horrible – him being all the way over there,” she told the MailOnline.

She added: “It’s such a horrible situation and we just hope he’s in the best place possible.”
