Liam & Noel Gallagher Step In After Scalpers Sell Oasis Reunion Tickets For More Than $12K

After the UK’s most famous beefing brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher sent the world into a frenzy when they announced an Oasis reunion tour, fans have being going absolutely mental for tickets. However all the fuss has led to the band needing to step in and keep their fans safe.

I don’t know what size rock you’re living under if you didn’t know that Oasis has reunited. If this is the article that you are reading which made you first aware of the fact the “Wonderwall” wonders are touring again, then better late than never.

Literally the entire internet has been going ballistic since the Gallaghers decided to put aside their 15-year-long feud and return to the stage, announcing 17 shows across the UK, Ireland, and Australia.

Just kidding, they aren’t coming here, RIP (So the only sensible decision is to go to them 👀) .

Anyhow. As the sales for the highly-anticipated Oasis tickets begin online, fans have been reminded again of the lowlifes that are ticket-resellers. AKA, the live music industry’s equivalent of landlords.

Across the numerous Oasis reunion shows, tickets online are supposed to range in price from the equivalent of AUD $291 to AUD $982, with the more expensive options being for the VIP spots at London’s Wembley Stadium.

However, shortly after the tickets went on sale, folks online noticed that some third-party ticket sellers had already skyrocketed the ticket prices to cost thousands of extra dollars in some cases.

One person on X (the social media site previously known Twitter), reported seeing Oasis tickets on StubHub for as much as much as AUD $12,318.85.

And look, I want to belt out “So, Sally can wait” until there is nothing left in my lungs and I die in the mosh pit as much as the next person.

But $12K is a bit steep for me. Sorry to be a buzzkill.

The X user also reported seeing a ticket that cost a colossal £22,045, or AUD $42,787.01. Which again, probably isn’t in anyone’s budget.

In response to the extortionate ticket price inflation, Liam and Noel Gallagher themselves stepped in to tell fans to make sure they are buying their tickets through the official outlets.

“We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets,” Oasis wrote in a statement on X.

“Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.”

At the end of the day, if there’s anyone who is going to make a killing off the Oasis reunion tour, it’s the people selling ticket insurance.

Because as much as we might be happy for Noel and Liam to be back together, there is absolutely no way I’m not preparing myself emotionally and financially for them to break up again and cancel the tour three gigs in.

@ehunzi Hope they make it, I’ll pay good money to see them fight on stage. #oasis #oasisreunion #oasisconcert #liamgallagher #noahgallagher ♬ Champagne Supernova – Oasis

Love you lads, but I gotta look out for me.

And also not lose $12K in the process.
