Liam Neeson has confessed he 'fell in love' with a 'taken' woman while filming in Australia.
The Ballymena man lived in Oz for a while in 2020 during the filming for new action movie 'Blacklight' in Melbourne.
Speaking on breakfast show Sunrise on Monday, February 7, the Northern Irish actor said: "I loved Melbourne. I loved our Australian crew, they are fantastic workers.
"Every department was superb. They were their own people, do you know what I mean? They had a great sense of humour."
Neeson then confessed: "I made a couple of pals... I fell in love once there, but she was taken."
The 69-year-old left journalist Nelson Aspen "intrigued".
The showbiz editor said: "We've have just got to track down this woman who captivated his heart.
"I don't know who she was but I'm intrigued."
Neeson's wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died in March 2009 after a skiing accident, with the pair having two sons, Micheál and Daniel.
Also on the show, Neeson said that he had only ever been in Australia once before.
He said: "I was there 25, 26 years ago promoting a film called Michael Collins, literally for four days, that was it, but I always wanted to go back so I jumped at the chance of doing this Blacklight. I knew there was two weeks of lockdown in Sydney which I thoroughly enjoyed.
"It was a good hotel and also there were a bunch of Irish nurses... I'd get calls from Irish nurses who would say 'Mr Neeson, we've just taken some Irish bread we've cooked out of the oven, can we bring you up some?' And I thought this was a joke.
"Anyway, ten minutes later... Sure enough there were five or six nurses all in PPE gear with a plate of bread or Irish scones, which was terribly sweet."
