Liam Gallagher teases young Man Utd fan after Man City's winner in FA Cup final

Liam Gallagher mocked a young Manchester United fan as Manchester City took the lead in the FA Cup final.

Those from the blue half of Manchester would eventually be celebrating come full-time as Ilkay Gundogan's second-half strike proved to be the winner despite a late surge from Erik ten Hag's side. Fans from the north west flocked down to London for the first ever all-Manchester cup final.

One of the Gallaghers is often present at major City contests and Liam was the man from Oasis on this occasion. He was quick to have a joke with a young fan wearing a United shirt after they went 2-1 up, before he turned around and jokingly gave it back to Liam.

Come full-time the rock n roll star will certainly have been celebrating whilst United were left to lick their wounds as their season ended. The Red Devils had hopes of winning a second piece of silverware to go alongside their Carabao Cup success, but they were ultimately undone.

Gundogan scored the fastest ever goal in an FA Cup final as he put City ahead within 15 seconds. A long punt forward eventually found the German 25 yards out and his volley left David de Gea rooted to the spot. Bruno Fernandes was able to level the contest when he scored from the spot before half-time.

With the game in the balance in was City's midfield who again came up with the goods as his volley trickled in despite it being far from the best struck shot ever. Guardiola's side were able to hold on and their FA Cup triumph now sits alongside their league success.

Their match winner and skipper told the BBC : "To win a final is always special. Every trophy is special. This group deserves it. We played really well, second half was amazing and we deserved to lift another trophy."

It means they have a chance to claim the treble next weekend when they face Inter Milan in Istanbul, which would also represent their first ever Champions League success. United remain the only English side to achieve the iconic treble, but City would soon emulate them.

Guardiola said after their FA Cup victory: "We can now talk about the Treble. Of course we still have to win the Champions League. We performed so well for our city and our fans. They follow man to man so tight and we didn't expect them to defend so narrow. We found more spaces in the second half. Tomorrow and the next day they can have off. We've then got three or four sessions to train for Inter Milan. We'll travel on Thursday morning after training."
