Liam Gallagher slams Matt Hancock for 'pulling wool' over I'm A Celeb fans' eyes

Liam Gallagher has blasted disgraced MP Matt Hancock for "pulling the wool" over the eyes of the British public - as he survived yet another eviction vote on I'm A Celebrity.

The singer and former Oasis frontman were clearly unhappy as he watched the ITV show and saw comedian Babatunde Aleshe become the latest one to leave.

Minutes after Babatunde was evicted from the jungle, Liam said on Twitter : "F**l off love Babatunde, can't live in a world where Tw*t Hancock still pulling the wool."

His comment now has over 8,000 likes and Babatunde himself responded with a fist emoji and said: "MAN LIKE LIAM GALLAGHER!!!!!!!!"

Remarkably, despite being chosen for six Bushtucker Trials in a row and being heavily criticised for going on the show, Hancock is now attracting thousands of votes from viewers.

Since the public have been voting to evict, the likes of Boy George, Sue Cleaver, Charlene White, Babatunde and Scarlette Douglas have been sent home.

Former king of the jungle Christopher Biggins was convinced as early as last week that Hancock would do well when eviction votes began.

At the time Biggins said: "He's doing everything brilliantly and however much you may hate him he is a player and he goes for it, he really does go for it he gets all the stars.

"He feeds the camp, he's charming and has won over the camp and I think is winning the audience over too."

And this week another former contestant Vernon Kay said: "I think he obviously felt like he was swimming against the tide, which he was. But you can't take away from the fact that his trials were absolutely awesome, weren't they? He did brilliantly."

In April Hancock apologised after the High Court ruled government policies on discharging patients from hospitals into care homes at the onset of the pandemic were "unlawful".

And in June 2021 he was forced to resign after CCTV footage surfaced of him embracing his aide Gina Coladangelo at a time when this would breach his own rules on physical contact. It also ended his 15-year marriage.

There is also the fact he is a working MP and still being paid whilst thousands of miles from his constituency.

There are now just six celebrities remaining in camp; Hancock, Jill Scott, Chris Moyles, Seann Walsh, Mike Tindall, and Owen Warner.

The king or queen of the jungle will be announced in Sunday's final.
