Liam Gallagher has revealed he would be up for an Oasis reunion – only if his beloved football team, Manchester City, win the upcoming Champions League tournament.
When the frontman was asked by a fan whether the Britpop band would reunite if Man City won the league, he responded with: “I’m ready to go”.
Former members of the band, who are fans of the team, have been discussing Man City’s chances as they head to the semifinals of the tournament on Wednesday May 17, where they will face Real Madrid.
According to Radio X, former rhythm guitarist, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, 57, is also ready for the band to make their return.
When interviewed on the station by Toby Tarrant about a reunion, Bonehead said: "See that bag under there? Plectrums in there. I'm ready."
The guitarist took part in his own special episode for the broadcaster, Bonehead's Bank Holiday, where he discussed his thoughts around a reunion in more detail.

He said: "Some days you wake up and think Nah, there's no need for it. It's been done. But when I'm on stage with Liam Gallagher as a solo artist, and I come out and we play Rock 'N' Roll Star and the place erupts. People are bouncing higher and harder than they did at some of the gigs back in the day.
“I look at that first ten rows when I'm playing an arena with Liam, and they're like 16 or 17 years of age. These people weren't even born until well into Oasis' career.
"So if there was a reunion, wouldn't it be worth it for them? To come and witness that band? In that sense it would be worth just one gig next year for those kids at the front, who are jumping and bouncing at Liam's gigs."
Bonehead, who often performs with Liam Gallagher, had to miss the singer’s landmark solo gigs at the Etihad and at Knebworth last year due to his battle with tonsil cancer.
He said: “I was diagnosed last year, sort of March with tonsil cancer. So it was tough, a tough year to say the least, but finished treatment on June 24th, three months after that I got the all-clear.”
He confirmed he would be back touring with Liam in June, with the band heading out to a festival in Belgium.
