Liam Gallagher gives his verdict on AI-generated ‘Oasis album’

Liam Gallagher has responded to the AI-generated ‘Oasis album’ that went viral this week, calling it “Mad as f***”.

AI-generated music has been rampant online in recent weeks.

From a Rihanna cover of Beyoncé’s Cuff, to the late Pop Smoke covering drill princess Ice Spice’s Munch, fans have been creative in generating the music they’d love to hear.

It’s a divisive trend, splitting the opinions of artists and fans alike.

Although DJ David Guetta thinks AI is the future of music, Nick Cave says he despises it.

Now, Oasis are the latest band to have music artificially created in their style.

UK band Breezer created the album, titled AISIS – The Lost Tapes, using their own songs, but used an AI-generated voice to sound like former Oasis frontman Gallagher.

When asked by a fan on Twitter if he’d heard the album, Gallagher said: “Not the album heard a tune it’s better than all the other snizzle out there.”

He told another fan the album is “Mad as f***” and added: “I sound mega.”

Breezer described the album as “an alternate reality concept album where the band’s 95-97 line-up continued to write music, or perhaps all got together years later to write a record akin to the first 3 albums, and only now has the master DAT tape from that session surfaced.”

They said: “We’re bored of waiting for Oasis to reform, so we’ve got an AI modelled Liam Gallagher (inspired by @JekSpek) to step in and help out on some tunes that were written during lockdown 2021 for a short lived, but much loved band called Breezer.”

One fan said on Twitter: “I am a huge Oasis fan right from 1994 and this is like stepping into an alternate dimension. Blown away,” while another quipped: “I think you guys have discovered a version of Liam that Noel can work with.”
