Liam Gallagher at Hampden this weekend: Everything you need to know

Fans are buzzing as Liam Gallagher is set to play at Scotland's national stadium, Hampden, this weekend. And it won't be long before he takes centre stage.

Whilst the Oasis singer warms up behind the scenes, ticketholders will be treated to performances by special guests Kasabian and Goat Girl. Gallagher being likely to perform tunes from his new album 'C'mon You Know' as well as some classics.

However before making their way to the stadium, those attending the concert will have to be wary of extremely limited rail services across Scotland due to rail strikes as well the usual rules for concert goers. People are being asked to leave in plenty of time.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the gig, which is the singers only Glasgow date for this tour.

When is the Liam Gallagher Glasgow concert and what time does it start?

The concert takes place this Sunday (June 26) at Hampden Stadium. Ticket holders have been given a start time of 4pm for the show, while the curfew is 11pm.

What's Glasgow's weather forecast for Sunday?

According to the latest Met Office forecast, Sunday (June 26) is set to have showers throughout the day with sunny intervals, with highs of 16C. However with the gig taking place outdoors, fans are being advised to dress appropriately for any rain whilst being reminded that umbrellas are banned from inside the stadium.

What can you bring into Hampden stadium?

Organisers have confirmed fans can bring in: 'Blankets, cameras, dancing shoes, ear plugs, hand sanitiser, hats, lip balm, make up, smiles, sunscreen, sunglasses, an empty bottle no bigger than 500ml (not a fancy reusable one though as glass/metal/hard plastic bottles aren't permitted!), wipes and more!'

What can't you bring into Hampden stadium?

Bags larger than the size of a sheet of A4 paper will not be permitted. Organisers advise the following is also banned: 'chairs, professional cameras, drugs, flares (you’ll get charged by the Police), glass or metal/hard plastic bottles (incl perfume/fragrance), smoke canisters (you’ll get charged by the police), flags, selfie sticks, umbrellas, weapons, frisbees/boomerangs'.

Food and drink is also not be allowed, with food and drink available to purchase within the arena. For a full list of prohibited items, visit here.

Meanwhile ticket holders are advised of possible delays for bag searches and ticket checks upon entry to the stadium.

What's the best way of getting to Hampden Stadium?

First Bus will be running a number of shuttle buses to and from Hampden with an express return service operating from the venue into the city post event.

Happy Bus is running services from across Scotland to and from Hampden for the show. This service must be pre-booked here.

Queens Park Recreation Ground is set to be the designated parking area.

Organisers have warned of last-minute rail cancellations as well as limited services across Scotland and are advising concert goers to look at alternative modes of transport. They are also warning that if you have no other way of travelling, be aware you will need to leave the event early to catch the last available train.

Are there age limits for the Hampden gig?

No one under 14 is permitted on the pitch standing area, no one under 5 is permitted in the seats and all persons aged 5-15 years old must always be accompanied by an adult 18 or over with at least 1 adult per 4 people aged between 5-15.

Do you need ID?

You need to have a valid and current photographic ID with you to gain entry. This is in line with the national Challenge 25 policy.

The following types of ID accepted:

  • Current UK or Overseas Driving License/ Provisional License Photocard
  • Current UK or Overseas Current Passport
  • Overseas Only Valid National ID card
  • UK only 18 + PASS scheme card
  • Young Scot Cards
  • Ireland Age Card
  • Forces ID Card

Are there still tickets available to the Liam Gallagher Glasgow concert?

There are still some seated tickets available which can be purchased here.

Ticket holders must enter through the turnstiles printed on your tickets. Organisers have said that 'All Ticketmaster tickets will now be print at home tickets. If you purchased tickets via SEE Tickets, Eventim or Ticket Scotland you will receive physical tickets.'

What security measures are in place during the concert?

Organisers have said that concert goers safety is their priority, and so strict security measures will be in place. Take it easy and don’t end up too intoxicated – Security is obliged to refuse admission or eject you from the site if you have had too much to drink so, don’t spoil your night.

Security searches will be in place at the entry gates. Please expect queues and listen to stewards. Search dogs will be in operation – anyone found in possession of drugs, flares, alcohol, or any prohibited item will be handed over to the police. Look after yourself and others round about you. If you need help at any time, please speak to the nearest member of security.

Will Hampden accept cash or card?

Hampden is a fully cashless site. All bars and food traders will only accept debit/credit card or mobile payment from both apple or android devices.
