As LG Business Solutions prepares to unveil its electric vehicle charger business in the United States in 2024, the LG 11kW Level 2 AC EV charger model EVW011SK-SN has been certified to UL 2594, the UL Standard for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, and to the EVSE Program Requirements for ENERGY STAR, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s energy and performance standard.
“As electric vehicles contribute to the nation’s clean energy future, using an energy-efficient, ENERGY STAR-certified electric car charger adds to the environmental benefits and cost savings,” said U.S Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR products director Ann Bailey. “If all EV chargers sold in the U.S. met ENERGY STAR requirements, the savings in energy costs would grow to more than $17 million, and 280 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions would be avoided.”
