Tributes have poured in for lifelong Liverpool FC fan Jimmy Flowers.
Jimmy, who used to run the Liverpool Away Supporters Club, has died with Jamie Carragher among those to pay tribute to him. The lifelong fan was integral in the original memorial that was unveiled in Bill Shankly's home village of Glenbuck in Scotland.
The memorial has since been replaced, with Spirit of Shankly's Stephen Morgan paying tribute to Jimmy in 2019 when the memorial was given a new lease of life. He said on the ECHO's Allez Les Rouges podcast: "The initial memorial to Bill Shankly up at Glenbuck was the work of Jimmy Flowers, who used to run the Liverpool Away Supporters Club, and is unfortunately unable to make this trip - we wish him well.

"We all went up there in 1997 when it was unveiled and it looked fantastic but it's a long time ago now. Thankfully the Scottish Mines Restoration Trust and the council along with the Glenbuck campaigners have got together and the plans they've got are fantastic."
Jamie Carragher posted on Twitter: "RIP Jimmy Flowers, one of the biggest and best LFC supporters you could find. YNWA Jimmy."
A poem was also shared by Carragher which said: "The legend that is Jimmy Flowers. In his company, you could spend hours listening to his stories about his time following the red men in his prime early days in Europe, shopping trips abroad, European Cup finals amongst the Scouse hoards.
"Jimmy's seen everything in his Liverpool career. Fighting this last battle, Jimmy has no fear. So as we pray for Jimmy in his final days. A true proud, diehard red man set in his ways. Loved by many people and never on his own. The legend Jimmy Flowers, You'll Never Walk Alone!"
Stephen Evans wrote: "Gutted to hear about the passing of the great Jimmy Flowers. Went on many an away trip on Jimmy’s coaches throughout the years, spent hours listening to his tales of following the Reds around the world. A lovelier man you will struggle to find.
"A true Liverpool Legend. RIP Jimmy x"
An Hour For Others, a charity set up to help people in the community, posted: "So gutted we are writing these words, what a man, what gentleman, what a family man, husband, father and grandfather. Jim thank you for your belief in me and Kevin and the team at AHFO since day one supporting us all the way, attending galas, the private messages of support all the time and your gorgeous words of wisdom and encouragement, we will be forever grateful Jim.
