Hearts have announced their second signing of the day as Lewis Neilson arrives from Dundee United.
Record Sport reported on Tuesday that the Jambos were closing in on the 19-year-old and that the deal would be rubber-stamped within 48 hours.
And they have now announced the signing with Neilson penning a three-year deal.
The highly-rated youngster has previously spent time on loan at Falkirk and managed nine senior appearances for United last season.
Robbie Neilson said: “Lewis is someone I’ve known for a while as he was coming through the ranks at Dundee United when I was manager there.
“Even back then you could see his potential and he’s continued to improve, so I'm delighted that we’ve been able to bring him to Hearts.
“He’s a very quick and strong player with all the attributes needed to make it at the top level, and I’m sure Hearts will provide the perfect environment for Lewis to work hard, develop and take his career forward.”
It comes after Hearts landed Australian defender Kye Rowles earlier on Thursday.
The Jambos are gearing up for a crack at the Europa League and Neilson arrives in a boost to their defensive options.
