- Former England rugby captain Lewis Moody will undertake a 500-mile cycling challenge in June 2026 to raise money and awareness for motor neurone disease (MND).
- Moody, who revealed his MND diagnosis in October, will cycle for seven days, concluding at the Gallagher Prem final at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium.
- The route will begin at Kingston Park, Newcastle, and pass through his former clubs, including Leicester Tigers and Bath, before finishing at Twickenham.
- He will be joined by former teammates, including Jonny Wilkinson and Mike Tindall, as well as his teenage sons, Dylan and Ethan.
- The challenge aims to raise vital funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, established by the late Scottish rugby icon Doddie Weir, which supports MND research and affected families.
