Ed Sheeran has issued a boxing challenge to fellow British singer Lewis Capaldi in what would be one of the biggest celebrity matches of all time.
Recently, a string of famous faces, mainly from the social media world, including YouTuber brothers Logan Paul and Jake Paul, have stepped into the ring to hash out their feuds.
In June, Elon Musk challenged fellow tech billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg to a fight, which Zuckerberg accepted. According to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White, both men were serious.
And now Shape Of You singer Sheeran has got fans excited by announcing that he's keen to square up with chart topper Capaldi.
When asked who he'd go head to head with from the music scene, during an interview with iFL TV in Dublin, ahead of the Taylor vs Cameron 2 fight, he said with no hesitation: “Capaldi … I’d do it, I’d do it. Lewis, [I’ll] f*****g have you, c***.”
“𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶, 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗳****** 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰***”

But while the odds of him and his actual pal, Capaldi putting the big gloves on is unlikely, fans have been whipped into a frenzy over the idea.
“Get in Ed,” one person commented. “Capaldi stops him early,” another predicted, while a third agreed, adding: "Capaldi will batter you."
However, Ed is perhaps not to be underestimated. The star does come from a family with a history in the sport.
His grandfather was a boxer and a member of the British Boxing Board of Control.
But there's no question about Sheeran's winning credentials when it comes to his day job.
Earlier this month, the singer performed to a sold out crowd for two concerts to mark the recent release of his album Autumn Variations.
He's also tipped to bag yet more top industry gongs after being recently nominated for best pop vocal album for Subtract in next year's Grammy Awards.
