Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton had his second-place finish in the United States Grand Prix on Sunday erased after a post-race inspection.
A report from ESPN after the race noted that both Hamilton’s Mercedes and Leclerc’s Ferrari teams were summoned by stewards for an alleged non-compliance with their cars.
Late on Sunday night, both drivers’ disqualifications were confirmed by reporters.
