Scotland star Lewis Ferguson has admitted he would love to play in the English Premier League one day, but is in no rush to leave Bologna after they reached a Champions League spot in Serie A.
The 24-year-old captained Bologna to a win over Jose Mourinho's Roma at the weekend to put them up to fourth spot which would lead to an automatic place in the Champions League.
Bologna haven't played in Europe's top competition for 60 years and haven't even been in any European tournaments since 1999.
Ferguson has been consistently linked with a big money move to some of the top clubs in Italy including Juventus and Lazio.
But the former Aberdeen star has made it clear he isn't interested in a January move because he's enjoying playing for Thiago Motta's side too much.
He said: "It may seem surprising to people on the outside that we are doing so well and are so high up in the table, but not to us.
"Every day we work hard and this is a very united group, made up of guys who trust each other.
"How high can we go? Who knows, but I trust this squad to continue playing as well as we have been doing.
"I am happy at Bologna - I was right to trust Aaron Hickey's advice to sign for the club.
"In a very unspecified time in the future, I see myself in the English Premier League.
"If you learn to exploit the spaces in Italian football, you can play anywhere, midfielder, attacking midfielder or winger.
"I could have scored more goals, but I never doubted I could do it in Italy too. At Aberdeen, I scored goals consistently and I know I can reach double figures this season."
And Ferguson, in an interview in Italy, believes former Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSG star Motta is the ideal manager for him.
He said: "He truly is a top coach. He taught us not to be influenced by the circumstances of the game, whether positive or negative.
"Every week we start by thinking only about the upcoming match. This is how certain results can be achieved. He has also taught us never to be truly satisfied because there is always the next challenge ahead.
"He has helped me a lot with his analyses. And we shouldn't forget his team of coaches, all fantastic."
