Lewis County Public Health has reported 10 additional measles cases, and "all cases have been in unvaccinated individuals," the department said in a public notice on new measles cases issued Oct. 2. The new cases come about a week after the county confirmed its first measles case in decades.
All 10 new cases are linked to that first case, WWNY 7 News reported, making 11 known cases in the county. The county notice itself did not state a cumulative total.
