BBC The One Show presenters were forced to apologise after Lewis Capaldi swore twice on air.
Alex Jones and Roman Kemp were joined by a selection of celebrity guests on Friday evening's edition of the show.
Chris Packham appeared to talk about climate change and the last episode of docuseries Blue Planet II, whilst Amanda Holden was on to discuss the upcoming series of her talent show, I Can See Your Voice.
Singing sensation Lewis Capaldi also joined the guests to perform one of his new tunes live - but the show descended into chaos as he swore twice in a matter of minutes forcing the presenters to issue an apology.
The Mirror reports that he was asked how he felt about the recent chart success of his latest song, to which he responded: "Yeah, I'm chuffed to b***ery! It was nerve-wracking, but it's good to be back, amongst friends, and it's good to be out of the house!"
The discussion swiftly moved on to the music video for Forget Me, which was inspired by Wham's 1983 video for Club Tropicana. The original video featured Roman's mum Shirlie Kemp, and Lewis was quick to praise her talents.
"Your mum was in it and she looked b**** good in it, I have to say that!" as Roman begged him: "Please, please stop!"
Alex Jones had to quickly apologise for his error as the show was aired at 7pm and hours before the watershed, adding: "We have got to say a quick sorry about the language. I'm sorry if anyone was offended."
Following the incident, fans took to Twitter to laugh over what happened, as one wrote: "I’m absolutely going to get #TheOneShow up on iPlayer so I can see @LewisCapaldi saying he’s 'chuffed to b******' live on the bbc pre-watershed! (it’s not even that bad though, come on! Love that they apologised on his behalf)."
A second added: " #lewiscapaldi is the new Shaun Ryder, can’t be trusted on live TV without swearing #TheOneShow."
"If you got offended by whatever Lewis Capaldi said then just don't watch TV anymore or go out.," a third wrote, with a fourth adding: "You just knew Lewis Capaldi was gonna have to be apologised on behalf of #TheOneShow."
Lewis, joking about his recent number one slot, also said: "I can't thank everyone enough for doing this with me and getting it to this point, even though I did most of the work myself! This one goes out to all of you, the people who love me, and especially to my enemies. May you all perish in flames and know nothing but eternal suffering."
