Lewis Capaldi was forced to stop his show in Manchester after a fight broke out in the crowd. The Someone You Loved singer temporarily stopped playing after commotion erupted at AO Arena on Wednesday night (January 18).
As the musician was singing Hold Me While You Wait, a single from his debut album that reached number four in the UK charts, he noticed a scuffle breaking out in the standing area of the packed-out arena.
Capaldi is seen holding his hands up to his live band before the lights come up for security to intervene. He is heard saying: "They are scrapping in the crowd there. Erm, we are going to have to get them out."

The audience stops singing before loud boos are heard. "We can't be fighting," the 26-year-old singer continues. The crowd then erupts into laughter as he adds: "What a weird song to fight to. Bizarre, bizarre."
The crowd begin excitedly chanting '"Oh Lewis Capaldi" before he starts the song from the beginning again, much to the delight of the packed out venue.
A fan, who was at the show on Wednesday, told the Manchester Evening News: "I couldn’t see the fight itself with the area being full, but Lewis Capaldi stopped the song and lit the area up in order for security to get to the fight.
"He started the song again after taking the mick out of them for fighting. He started saying it was daft how anyone could fight to that song."
