On Friday night, Niall Horan paid tribute to his pal by encouraging thousands of fans to chant “we love you Lewis”.
The former One Direction star briefly interrupted his set to send a message to the fellow singer. Niall said: “I know this is on television.
“Our good friend Mr Capaldi is watching. Shall we give him a little shout?”

Niall added during his TRNSMT set: “He can hear us. I know he will. He’s in Bathgate and he can hear us loud and clear. He’ll be back. He’ll be back.”
