Lewis Capaldi second Edinburgh date and how to get tickets for new gig

A second date has been announced in Edinburgh for Lewis Capaldi's new album tour, after the original gig sold out in seconds.

Edinburgh Live reported earlier today that Lewis has travelled across the UK ahead of the launch of his new album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent - to be released on May 19.

And now, he will be returning to Edinburgh for two dates instead of one, playing on August 30 and September 1.

Lewis won't be on that stage alone as Brit winners McFly will be joining him as special guests on August 30 and September 1 in the capital city.

When his Edinburgh gig date first went live, 30,000 tickets sold out in seconds. The singer took to Twitter and said: "Actually properly lost for words. 30,000 of ya just sold this out in seconds!!!!! I am your humble king."

When will Lewis play the Royal Highland Showgrounds?

Lewis will perform at the Royal Highland Showgrounds in Edinburgh on August 30 and September 1.

Is there a presale for the new Edinburgh date?

Yes, there are two presales for the August 30 date in Edinburgh - one for Gigs in Scotland, and one for Ticketmaster.

Both presales begin on Thursday, February 16 at 9am, and will close at 8am on Friday, February 17. You can sign up for the Gigs in Scotland presale on their website, as you can with the Ticketmaster presale here.

When do tickets go on general sale for Lewis Capaldi?

Tickets will be made available to the general public on Friday, February 17 at 9am on the Ticketmaster website.
