Lewis Capaldi's hilarious video as he responds to hate over his latest song

Lewis Capaldi has responded to one fan with a hilarious video - after they said they weren't keen on his new song. Recently, the Scots singer has been documenting the creation of his new song, Pointless, on TikTok, and has been sharing several different clips of him singing it.

However, when one fan replied saying: "Sorry but... it's not a great song. I still love you Lewis", the 26-year-old responded to the comment with a video. He donned a Celtic strip and danced around shouting 'yay' and wrote: "Songs not out yet and people already hate it WOOOO".

But many fans who loved it quickly flocked to the comments to reassure the singer that it would do well. One wrote: "we must protect Lewis Capaldi at all costs."

While one wrote: "Lewis Capaldi is absolutely amazing, his voice is beautiful, I can't wait for this song to be released. Perhaps the commenter is tone deaf?"

Another added: "Yeah, it's not a great song.. It's a perfect song." While one wrote: "Each to their own. Personally I love it, it's a stunning song, watch it blow up on Friday."

Pointless, which is out this Friday, has been widely discussed by fans since the singer first teased it on TikTok. In the first video, singing along to a tune on the keyboard, Lewis sings: "I bring her coffee in the morning, she brings me inner peace. I take her out to fancy restaurants, she takes the sadness out of me. I make her cards on her birthday, she makes me a better man. I take her water when she's thirsty, she takes me as I am."

However at the line, "I bring her coffee in the morning, she brings me inner peace," many fans took to the comments to say they thought it meant "she brings me in a piece".

One wrote: "She brings me in a piece n sausage." While one said: "Genuinely thought the lyric was “she brings me in a piece” until I watched it again."

Just last month, Lewis announced the much-anticipated release of 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' and a 31-date tour of the UK and Europe. The 26-year-old rocketed straight to the top of the UK singles chart with his song, Forget Me, last month, making it his third UK number 1.
