Lewis Capaldi has addressed a billboard for his upcoming documentary on Netflix which appeared to feature a throwback photo of politician Liz Truss instead of him.
The singer-songwriter, 26, is the subject of a new film titled How I'm Feeling Now, which is set to be released through the streaming platform in just a couple of days.
Ahead of its release next week, the documentary has been promoted through advertisements, which has included a billboard having been on display in London recently.
Lewis shared photos of the billboard on Twitter yesterday, though it appeared to feature a photo of Liz, 47, from a political conference that she attended back in 1994.
Lewis seemingly teased over the situation in the caption that accompanied the photos. He wrote: "Ffs whoever is in charge of the billboards at Netflix needs firing".
It's unclear whether it was a joke or a mistake, but Netflix did respond to Lewis' tweet this week. The official account replied to him and said: "I had a good run".
The post amused some of his followers, with one responding: "This is hilarious". Another wrote: "Might be the best thing I've seen today". A third said: "I can't stop laughing".
Another follower asked in response to the billboard: "I'm confused. Is that not you?" This sentiment was shared by another, who commented: "I don't see any difference?"
The billboard comes after fans have previously noted a resemblance between Lewis and Liz, which the singer-songwriter addressed himself in a post just last year.
After a fan shared a photo of Liz earlier in her career and congratulated Lewis on becoming Prime Minister, he reacted: "Why do I look like so many female politicians".
Lewis' upcoming documentary shares its name with his latest single, which was released earlier this month. The film itself is set to be released next week through Netflix.
A synopsis: "In this all-access music documentary, award-winning studio Pulse Films partners with recent breakout artist Lewis Capaldi at a pivotal moment in his career.
"[It's] the story of a young artist, returning to his roots after achieving unbelievable global success, attempting to reconnect with his old life and the family and friends he left behind."
Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now will be released through Netflix on April 5.
