Lewis Capaldi makes hilarious and crude apology to fans before Dublin gig even begins

Lewis Capaldi apologised to fans in Dublin on Saturday night for not making a new album during lockdown, saying he spent the majority of the time "masturbating".

The Scottish crooner played a sold out Malahide Castle gig on Saturday night, more than two years after the show was supposed to take place.

Covid delays meant the star was finally able to play his first album to the fans, although he started off the night by saying he was sorry for not having any new songs.

The hilarious singer had fans in stitches throughout his gig, even running off stage as he was "dying for a piss" at one point during the concert.

Capaldi stopped the gig at a number of points after spotting medical issues in the crowd, keeping people entertained with his musings in the meantime.

The young Scot rattled off all the hits from his one and only album which didn't disappoint the crowd that had been waiting so long to see them.

And while the star joked he had other things to do during Covid lockdowns, his new album is reportedly set to be released in the near future.
