Lewis Capaldi has issued an emotional update in his first interview since announcing he would be cancelling all his gigs following his Glastonbury performance.
The singer struggled with voice issues and his Tourette's flaring up during his set. He tweeted afterwards that the decision not to perform live for the foreseeable future was “the most difficult decision” of his life.
Now, as reported by Birmingham Live, the singer has spoken to Sean Evans on Hot Ones, on First We Feast, eating some spicy chicken wings during it. He admitted that he was nervous at the start of the interview.

He was asked what he has learnt as an artist across his career. Lewis said: "Nobody knows anything. No offence".
As he continued to eat chicken wings in varying levels of heat, the Scottish singer's eyes began to water. Lewis said: "Am I visibly crying? You are your own person."
He added: "Americans make an effort to understand me - but posh British people are like 'I don't understand a word you're saying'." The singer-songwriter, whose album has just been released, added: "Right now it's hard to collect my thoughts."
When questioned about his struggles with imposter syndrome, Lewis said: "I was on the verge of a panic attack. My advice for people struggling? It's such a good question.
“Erm, if you're out there, and you feel like an imposter - life is meaningless. None of this means anything. Hell is waiting for us all!"
This weekend, Matty Healy from The 1975 sent his support to Capaldi at Finsbury Park. Addressing his break on stage, the singer said: "I want to send my sincerest thoughts to Lewis Capaldi who is a good friend of mine. Who on the day when he had to cancel his tour, checked in on me."
He added: “And it's also a reflection on how hard being a solo artist is as I would not be doing this show if I didn't have these amazing men and women behind me."
