Lewis Capaldi has taken issue with his record label - after they sent him a pair of promotional underwear that were a little on the large side.
The Someone You Loved singer bared all for his billboard promo ahead of the release of new track, Forget Me, on Friday 9 September. The 25-year-old star chose the risqué method to promote his music in order to 'utilise' the 'greatest strength' of his body.
Speaking on his TikTok channel, Lewis revealed why he decided to do the billboard. He said: "So to promote my brand new single Forget Me, which comes out on September 9, I thought it was only right that I utilise my greatest strength to get the word out there, to people know I've got a new song coming out, that greatest strength of course, is... my body! Hope you like the song."
The West Lothian singer then took to Instagram and was less than impressed after his label sent him XXL boxers to aid in his promotion of the new track. In a video posted to his story, he told fans: "My record label have sent me Y fronts in order to promote this new single but in the billboards I'm in speedos, different thing first of all. Already furious.
"They f***ing sent me double XL. As in, double double XL. I know I've put on a bit of weight but look at this. This is ridiculous. I look like I've sh** myself from the front. I look like I've got an action man crotch. And look at this, if you're asking yourself - does he have an old man a**? Yeah.
Before turning the camera round to show his back, he said: "Oh my god. Look. Looks like there's change in that coin purse."
The Bruises singer continued chatting in his underwear to fans, and opened up about his recent health diagnosis. Standing in the briefs, Lewis said: "I was in the newspaper today because I told everyone I had Tourette's and the paper ran a big story about it. And there were people on Twitter being really nice about it.
"Being like 'Oh what a great thing for someone with his profile to talk about and be open with, and spread awareness' and a 'great ambassador'. Gaze upon your ambassador. Other people with Tourette's, hello! I am your leader."
The chart-topper opened up about his Tourette's diagnosis. He revealed he is undergoing treatment, including Botox injections, as he learns to live with the condition, which is characterised by involuntary sounds and movements known as "tics".
He revealed to fans on Instagram that he was going public with his diagnosis so people didn't think he had been "taking cocaine or something". He said: "I do this shoulder twitch quite a lot. You see it underneath TikToks and stuff, people like, 'why's he twitching?'
"Curiosity is fine, I get it, but some people are like, 'he's definitely taken cocaine'. Do you think, before I play to 20,000 people as an anxious person, I'm going to take a big line of cocaine? Never going to happen.
"It’s a new thing. I haven’t really learnt much about it. I'm learning. I got Botox in my shoulder to stop it moving - it works for a bit but it gets worse. The worst thing is when I'm excited, I get it. When I'm stressed, I get it. When I'm happy, I get it.
“Some days it’s more painful than others, sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable but it's not that big a deal. It looks a lot worse than it' looks. I guess that’s it."
He added: “When they told me, ‘We think you’ve got Tourette’s’, I was like, ‘Do you know what, that makes so much sense’. When I look back at my interviews from 2018 and all the rest of it I can see that I’m doing it, but it comes and goes.
"Sometimes I can go months without doing it. I thought I had some horrible degenerative disease so I’ll take Tourette’s. Other than that, healthy as f***."
The cheeky crooner also revealed that he splashed £900 on a medical exam for insurance purposes at the start of the year. He said: "All they did was say, 'you're absolutely fine, you're just fat'."
