Love seems to be in the air for Scots singer Lewis Capaldi as he enjoyed a romantic hike with his rumoured girlfriend Ellie Macdowall. Lewis and Ellie went out and enjoyed some fresh air ahead of his Hogmanay performance on BBC Scotland tonight.
The Someone You Loved singer shared a series of snaps and videos on his Instagram story of him and Ellie wrapped up warm and taking in the stunning views of Ben Hogh in Coll.
The hike was all for a good cause, to raise money for Doddie Aid - which raises money for MND research and people living with MND.
Speaking to the camera, Lewis urged his fans to join him to raise funds for the amazing cause. He said: "Hello.there, It's Lewis Capaldi here, I've just climbed up this big f*** off hill at Ben Hogh in Isle of Coll in support of Doddie Aid. You can also join me, I'll be logging my big walk on the app."
The couple are yet to confirm their romance properly on social media, but they giggled as they stroked and fed Llamas at the bottom of the hill.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Lewis' smash hit Someone You Loved has been listened to an astonishing 2.6billion times on Spotify.
The incredible total makes it one of the most streamed songs in the platform’s history and eclipses any other Scottish artist. The hit is Capaldi’s most popular song according to a study of playlists appearing on the music streaming service.
Researchers looked at 41,773 tracks across 995 artist-inspired playlists and found it had been featured in 262 Spotify playlists. Someone You Loved – released in November 2018 – spent seven weeks at No1 and was the UK’s best-selling single of 2019.
