Lewis Capaldi dubs himself 'Prince of Pain' as fans react to heart-breaking music video

Lewis Capaldi has dubbed himself the 'Prince of Pain' after fans were left in tears at his new music video.

The Scottish singer's latest song Wish You the Best has a heart-breaking music video to accompany it, starring Harry Potter actor David Bradley. It tells the story of a man's relationship with his dog, and his dog's unending loyalty even after he passes away.

Lewis is known for his emotional song-writing, which is a huge contrast to his hilarious personality. Many fans have taken to TikTok to warn others off watching the video, and as a response he has dubbed himself the 'Prince of Pain'.

In one video, Hien Pham (@heyitspham) said: "If you want to be OK ever again, don't go watch Lewis Capaldi's new music video. And if you have a dog, don't watch it" while in floods of tears. Another user filmed their reaction to the video and was also left crying.

Lewis Capaldi himself duetted the videos on TikTok, simply filming his face with an evil grin at people's emotional reactions. In the caption, he said: "I am the prince of pain".

People in the comments had similar reactions. One person said: "Of course I watched it and now I'm crying", another said: "nope got like 1 min in and I was already breaking down lool", and a third person said: "It’s sooooo sad I just cried my eyes out watching it".

Others found Lewis' reaction hilarious. One person said: "The look of pure joy on your face makes me want to watch it just so I can bring more joy." Another said: "Lewis is the villain in all this" and a third said: "That’s a sinister smile" with laughing emojis.

Here is the music video, but proceed with caution! It's a tearjerker.
