Lewis Capaldi made one fan's day after inviting the teenager on stage to perform a duet with him.
The West Lothian singer, 26, is currently embarking on a mini-tour of intimate gigs across the UK where he will perform some new songs as well as a Q&A session for the small crowd. He took to the stage at the Marble Factory in Bristol on Wednesday and invited one lucky fan to sing Someone You Loved alongside him.
Yasmine Kabbara-Dolby, 17, attended the Bristol show accompanied by a banner that read: “I met you four years ago, please can I sing with you?”
The lucky teen sang Someone You Loved alongside Lewis on stage as the song holds a special place in her heart after her mum's partner had a double lung transplant.
Speaking to BBC about the experience, Yasmine said: “It was the most surreal experience in my life. It was a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I really wanted it to happen but I didn’t expect it to.
“The thing that scared me the most wasn’t the 2,000 people watching but singing in front of Lewis Capaldi. I could not see anything, the lights were so bright.
“It’s been amazing and I’m a developing artist in Bristol and it’s such an amazing platform that people have heard my voice and started following me.”
It comes after Lewis joined fans in London for a Peloton work-out class, which unfortunately left the star with an embarrassing injury. The Bruises singer joined Peloton instructor Ben Alldis and a selection of lucky fans for the workout class, but it wasn't all fun and games.
During one of his intimate gigs, Lewis told fans in attendance in London that as a result of his intense spin class, he came away with a bruised 'gooch'. He said: “Yesterday I did a thing with Peloton. It’s this big bike and they take these classes in London so I went along and did a quick class and it was f****** hard.
“I was sweating a lot. Also, this is a bit of TMI (too much information), but the saddle of the bike has really caused me, even now when I’m sitting down, like my goods are sore – I have a bruised gooch.”
