Lewis Capaldi calls out 'cheap' fans watching his gig performance from nearby house

Lewis Capaldi stunned fans after calling out 'cheap b*******' who were watching his performance from a house overlooking the venue.

The Someone You Loved singer, who is set to headline Sunday night of TRNSMT in Glasgow Green, was performing at Lytham Festival when he jokingly slammed the 'cheap fans'. In a video shared on TikTok, by user @justseanx, he hilariously calls out fans watching the show from a nearby balcony.

The West Lothian superstar said: "How about you lot standing on the balcony of your house, I can see you." When the people on the balcony started to wave and cheer, Capaldi joked: "Get back in the f***ing house. You cheap b*****ds, where's my money?"

The social media clip has been viewed more than 131,300 times and received thousands of likes. It was captioned: "Imagine living in a house that looks over a festival so every year you can watch it for free."

Lewis called out the 'cheap' fans watching from a balcony (TikTok)

One follower replied "Love his sense of humour" while another agreed, adding "love him". Another person said: "Lewis is one of the rear [sic] celebs who can joke around with his fans like that and they won’t get offended." Another replied: "Id rather pay for going to a festival so when i was finished i could leave the racket and mess behind."

The 25-year-old singer is known for his hilarious onstage antics, as he recently confessed the real reason he hasn't released any new music. After taking a break from social media and live performances during the Covid lockdown, Capaldi is back and better than ever performing on stage in front of impressed audiences.

Speaking to fans on stage in Dublin a few weeks ago, for not making a new album during lockdown, saying he spent the majority of the time "masturbating". The Bathgate born singer played a sold out Malahide Castle gig on Saturday night, more than two years after the show was supposed to take place.

Covid delays meant the star was finally able to play his first album to the fans, although he started off the night by saying he was sorry for not having any new songs. During his headline performance at the Isle of Wight festival, he admitted he had been 'lazy' over the Covid lockdown joked that he has had ‘lots of sex’.

He told fans: “I’m very rusty at this. It’s been a while since I did a gig like this, which is also what I tell every girl I have a one night stand with. Yes I have had lots of sex. Lots of sex. This is gonna be fun, but I’m very nervous.”

Lewis also added: “I was meant to play new music but I’m a lazy c**t and didn’t do it over lockdown.”
