Lewis Capaldi has revealed that he plans to take some time off after his Glastonbury set tonight.
Whilst performing his popular single 'Hold Me While You Wait' at Worthy Farm, the singer apologised and admitted he was 'annoyed with himself' after losing his voice and battling with Tourette’s. During the performance, Lewis Capaldi apologised as the crowds cheered him on and chanted “Oh Lewis Capaldi.”
He told the crowd: “I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non-stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health.”

"I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out. I was scared but you've really made me feel at ease so thank you very much for that."
After talking to the crowd, Lewis Capaldi confirmed that he was taking a career break. Capaldi added: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even."
"But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you're all still up for watching."
The singer dedicated his hit single 'Before You Go' to his late aunt Pat as he continued to move through his Glastonbury's main stage set. The Scottish singer told the crowd: "I hate to bring the mood down but the next song is for my aunt who is dead."
He added that it was also for his mother, but clarified that she is still "alive and well". The popular singer kicked off his set at Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage after previously cancelling his other shows in June to prepare for the festival.
Despite Capaldi being 'annoyed at himself' the crowd belted out his songs word for word. Glastonbury 2023 continues through Saturday and Sunday with pop legend Elton John closing the festival with his last live performance in the UK.
