Lewis Capaldi put worried fans at ease after they shared their concerns sparked by a video of him on tour.
The 26-year-old star performed to a sold-out crowd at Newcastle's Utilita Arena on Saturday as part of his Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent tour, ahead of the release of his new album on May 19. Lewis delighted Tyneside fans with his smash hits including Forget Me, Someone You Loved and Hold Me While You Wait.
However, some fans raised concerns when a video of Lewis on his tour circulated on TikTok showing the singer twitching during his performance. The clip quickly went viral, racking up over seven million views - but the singer addressed the subject with typical good humour, putting people at ease in his own TikTok video in which he reminded people that he has Tourette Syndrome.

Tourette's is a condition of the nervous system that causes affected people to make involuntary movements or sounds known as tics. Lewis shared publicly back in September that he had recently been diagnosed with the condition, despite having had it his whole life, and described the diagnosis as "a weight off my mind".
Sharing the clip of himself on stage, Lewis told fans: "Hello, it's Lewis here - this video here I've seen doing the rounds a little bit on TikTok, and I see a lot of people in the comments concerned because I'm twitching quite a lot and look a bit uncomfortable," he said.
"I've got Tourette's, so I'm just twitching a bit here," he explained. "It's not an issue in the slightest, I'm absolutely fine.
"This just happens when I get tired, nervous, excited, whatever, so it just gets more intense. Right now I'm not doing it all, because I'm lying in my bed in my pants, but this is at the end an hour and a half gig and I'm singing in front of 15,000 people."
He finished: "Thanks to everyone who came to the gig that night, it was incredible. Love you so much. Get a ticket - come see me twitch live and in person."
Fans were quick to leave supportive messages for the star after the explanation, with many praising Lewis for using his platform to raise awareness of what it's like to live with Tourette's. "Tourette's community is all here for you," one person wrote.
Another said: "My son, he's 10. He has Tourette's. I can't even begin to explain how happy this video made him! Mind blown a famous singer has Tourette's."
"The fact that you can say 'I've got Tourette's' that easily, it makes such a difference," a third fan commented. "Both my boys have TS and they absolutely love you!"
Someone else wrote: "As someone who struggles with functional tics and a seizure disorder it's great to see how honest you are about your Tourette's. Love you and your music."
