Levi Colwill gives five-word response to Liverpool question after honest transfer admission
Chelsea defender Levi Colwill rejected the chance to put to bed speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge - with the 20-year-old refusing to play down links to Liverpool in a recent Instagram live.
Colwill - who is contracted with the Londoners until the summer of 2025, but has the option of an extra year should he play enough games - has seen speculation surrounding his future rise in recent weeks after a string of excellent performances for England's under-21s during their European Championship success in Georgia over the summer.
The ECHO understands that Colwill is admired at Anfield and club officials kept a keen eye on his progress while on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion last campaign. Meanwhile, newly-appointed Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has already that confirmed he will hold talks with the England youth international when he returns from his holiday later this month.

Despite enjoying a post-tournament vacation, that hasn't stopped Colwill from sending quarters of both Chelsea's and Liverpool's fanbase into overdrive with his recent comments when asked about a potential summer move to Anfield during an Instagram live.

Five things spotted in Liverpool training with new lactate test champion to be crowned
Faces old and new reported to the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning as Liverpool welcomed 14 of their international contingent for a first day of pre-season training.
Despite preparations for the 2023/24 season officially beginning on Saturday, the bulk of Jurgen Klopp's squad - including Mohamed Salah and captain Jordan Henderson - marked their first day back at Kirkby as they were brutally put through their paces.
Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold were just some of the Reds' first-team members to join new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai for their first day as Liverpool players.
From here, the Reds will continue the first week of their schedule on Merseyside before jetting off to the German town of Donaueschingen in the Black Forest region to contest friendlies against Bundesliga 2 opposition Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth next week.
