Liverpool have enquired about signing Chelsea defender Levi Colwill this summer, according to the ECHO's sister website football.london, who report that despite Liverpool's making their interest clear, Chelsea remain determined to keep hold of the young defender.
The 20-year-old is due to return to the Blues once the European Under-21 Championship, where he is representing finalists England, has concluded. Colwill is a man very much in demand this summer after a very impressive 2022/23 season on loan down on the south coast with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Seagulls have attempted to sign their former loanee permanently, seeing two bids rejected by Chelsea. It is believed his parent club want to tie Colwill down to a new long-term contract, with his current deal in west London due to expire in less than two years.
