Brigitte Bardot inspired Bob Dylan to write his very first song. According to his programme notes for a concert at Carnegie Hall in 1961, Dylan wrote Song to Brigitte at about the age of 15, in the hope he might “sing it to her one day”. He later gave Bardot a namecheck in his 1962 composition I Shall Be Free.
