Let’s Make-Up: the new beauty launches to have on your radar in February 2024

In our monthly Let’s Make-Up round-up, we bring you a selection of the tried and tested, freshest, and buzziest beauty launches that are worth adding to your basket.

All types of lotions and potions across makeup, skincare, haircare and more cross our desks and we take it upon ourselves to review them all so you don’t have to. If we include it below, then you know it’s a good ‘un.

Pucker up as for February, three new lippies deserve their place in your pout-perfecting arsenal. Charlotte Tilbury has expanded her eponymous collection with new tones of pinks and reds added to the line-up, while Summer Fridays has the nourishing oil-tint hybrid to know. M.A.C too is not resting on its laurels, reformulating its cult classics with an improved texture and an even greater pop of pigment.

Buff away makeup, impurities and all your cares in the world with exfoliating goodness from Noble Panacea, Paula's Choice and the latest launch in Hailey Bieber's rhode offering.

For all this and more besides, see our edit of the hottest beauty drops you need on your radar.

Noble Panacea The Exceptional Overnight Chronobiology Peel

This night treatment from Noble Panacea is a testament to the advanced formulations that the brand has made its signature. Harnessing Organic Super Molecular Vessel Technology (OSMV) that releases active ingredients at the optimal level to enhance absorption, The Exceptional Overnight Chronobiology Peel delivers a potent hit of active ingredients. The product is made up of AHAs and BHAs to gently buff the skin and stimulate collagen production to rejuvenate the complexion. Paula’s Choice 6% Mandelic Acid + 2% Lactic Acid Liquid Exfoliant

A stalwart in bathroom cabinets of beauty editors far and wide, the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is considered a cult product. But not content on resting on its laurels, the brand has gone back to the drawing board and created an AHA-based alternative that calls on mandelic and lactic acids. While the BHA focuses on banishing blemishes, the latest formula encourages a gentle buffing of the skin to brighten and restore.

Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Primer

Hot on the heels of the launch of the Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation, Shiseido is adding to the lasting power of the product with a primer in the same collection. The brand has taken a skincare-first approach to the base layer essential by incorporating two potent prebiotics - fermented kefir+ and niacinamide – into the formula to strengthen the skin barrier and leave it healthy and prepped for the makeup to follow. It has a weightless feel, a feat considering the inclusion of SPF25 and leaves a dewy, radiant finish.

rhode Pineapple Refresh Daily Cleanser

A bellwether in the beauty world, Hailey Bieber only needs to post a single Instagram for the beauty world to take note - and so it is no surprise that the launch of her rhode Pineapple Refresh Daily Cleanser has taken social media by storm. You may have seen the product encased in a bath bomb delivered to content creators around the world, but theatrics aside, it is the formula itself that deserves your attention.

The entrepreneur has incorporated pineapple enzyme into the first step of her skincare routine which acts as a natural yet gentle exfoliant to buff away dead skin and leave a radiant finish. Set alongside calming, antioxidant-rich green tea extract and hydrating polyglutamic acid, you are treated to a thorough, kind-to-skin cleansing experience.

Kylie Cosmetics Power Plush Longwear Foundation

Kylie Jenner has been creating viral products since the launch of her Kylie Cosmetics collection back in 2014. Yet the youngest in the Kardashian clan was yet to unveil a foundation – until now. The mogul revealed that she had been “developing this foundation for over three years, and it has been a secret staple in my makeup kit. As Kylie Cosmetics’ first-ever foundation, the performance of the product was important to me. The formula blends into the skin so easily for a gorgeous satin finish that’s not too dewy and not too matte”.

The Power Plush Longwear Foundation is a lightweight, medium and buildable coverage that is enriched with powerhouse skincare ingredients - niacinamide, Centella Asiatica and vitamin E. It boasts an impressive 40 shades and is said to give up to 12 hours of wear.

KERASILK Strengthening Bond Builder

KERASILK may not be a brand that you are immediately familiar with yet it is been innovating in the haircare space since 1984 and is a fixture in salons across the capital. The brand has combined its many years of expertise into a product to restore and rebuild the strands. With its all-vegan Strengthening Bond Builder, it delivers a highly potent ingredient known as Bondamide to your routine. This component was selected for its ability to “penetrate deep into the cortex and build hydrogen and ionic bonds across the hair’s structure”, according to the brand. The result is a reduction in the level of breakage, improved shine and a smooth feel.

Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oil

The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is one of our favourite ever products – so our expectations were high for the latest lippy launch from the skincare label. The Dream Lip Oil has a smooth, silky texture that glides onto the pout imparting both shine and hydration in spades. A very modern update of the product type, it has a non-sticky yet highly nourishing formula that includes nine moisturising oils, vitamin E and plant-based collagen. Living Proof Clarifying Detox Shampoo

Whether it’s an overzealous application of dry shampoo or the hard water in the capital that is weighing down your locks, Living Proof has the solution. The brand’s Clarifying Shampoo is an effective cleanse on dull, dry, oily or pollutant-weighed down locks to dissolve buildup without stripping your locks of their natural oils.

Designed to be used on a weekly basis, you may just find the product leaves your hair more vibrant, and certainly cleaner and more manageable. Free from the likes of silicones and parabens, it instead calls on magnetic polymers that attract the unwelcomed buildup with a chelating agent and charcoal to take away odours and impurities.

Hair by Sam McKnight Love Me Do Nourishing Oil

Imbued with the aroma that has become the signature of Sam McKnight’s eponymous brand, the Love Me Do is not your traditional oil. It is translucent in colour to give the feel of a serum and is lightweight too to tame flyaways and improve lustre. However, it still offers the kind of nourishment that you would expect from a formula in this category. It is enriched with three seed oils that work in tandem to bring more manageability to your style. A little goes a long way.
