‘Let’s go have some fun tonight!’ Meghan and Harry enjoyed big night out before romance was exposed

Meghan and Harry enjoyed a big night out together after being told that their romance was about to go public.

The couple shared images and detailed their partying on the eve of their relationship being exposed on their explosive new Netflix series Harry & Meghan.

In the first episode, the pair - dressed in costumes - look in their element in a series of snaps surrounded by friends, including  Prince Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie at a private Halloween bash.

In a  joint chat with Harry, Meghan explained: "He [Harry] and his brother’s communications secretary Jason [Knauf] called to let him [Harry] know that the story [of our relationship] was scooped by a tabloid.

"Harry said: ‘Well, if it’s going to come out tomorrow let’s go have some fun tonight."

Harry chimed in: "We went to this Halloween party together. We completely dressed up so no one would know.

"I had a bandana and goggles."

Meghan: "You borrowed a great costume. We were like: ‘Well, this might be our last shot to just go out and have fun out in the world."

Harry quipped: "Pull the pin on the fun grenade. Which we did."

The Duchess went on to detail who the pair had let their hair down with, adding: "His cousin, Eungenie, and her boyfriend at the time, Jack, and my friend, Marcos, were there too.

"It was so great, just silly fun. And then…” Meghan said before snapping fingers to indicate that after that last hurrah, their lives changed dramatically.

Overnight, the couple’s romance would make them two of the most scrutinised and talked about celebrities in the world.

Their spokesman James Holt also recalled someone saying to Meghan: “If you want to go to the Tate and see a bit of London do it now because your life is going to change.”

Meghan had said they were terrified of the story breaking.

The couple had been dating since July 2016 and the story of their romance broke in October.

The first episode, which is around an hour long, focusses on how the couple met, which was through a mutual friend on Instagram, and how Harry has navigated through a life of what he considers to be press intrusion.

Apart from  the story of their relationship breaking, the episode - the first of six on streaming giant Netflix - also includes archive footage of his mother, Princess Diana, confronting photographers on a royal skiing holiday in the 1990s.
