Dana White is open to the idea of Tyson Fury taking on UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
The UFC president has responded after Fury and Jones discussed a potential fight on social media. Comments from UFC commentator Joe Rogan suggesting that Jones would win a fight if the pair were “locked into a room” sparked a barbed response from Fury on social media.
“I heard him say that Jon Jones could f*** me up if we were in the room together,” the WBC champion said. “I don’t think so. Not a man born from a mother could f*** me up, in a room, on our own. Whatever happens in that room, I’d be walking out. Not a f****** problem.”

Dana White was quizzed about the possibility of a crossover fight between Fury and one of MMA’s all-time greats. Comparing the potential bout to Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, White extended an open invitation for Fury to test himself in the octagon.
“Jon Jones is the baddest dude on the planet,” White told YouTube channel BroBible. “If Tyson Fury really wants to fight Jon Jones in the UFC, I will make it happen. Here’s my thing: Right now, Tyson, if you’re serious, let me know.
“Tyson and I have a good relationship. I like Tyson Fury. We can talk all we want. Tyson can talk, Jon Jones can talk, I can talk, we can all talk. Let’s do it.
"If Tyson is serious, and he wants to do it, listen, I got Floyd Mayweather to fight (McGregor) and we paid Floyd. We got Floyd the number he wanted. If Tyson Fury is serious, and he wants to fight Jon Jones in the UFC, let’s start talking.”
Jon ‘Bones’ Jones fuelled the idea of a crossover bout by claiming that Rogan’s verdict had “struck a nerve” with Fury and encouraged the ‘Gypsy King’ to give White a call. However, Fury then distanced himself from the potential matchup.
"I see Jon Jones has piped up, Jon you're talking about me in the cage. I'm not a cage fighter mate, I'm a boxer, the best boxer actually," he responded.
"If you want to come into a boxing ring and fight me, be my guest and let me know. You don't have to call anybody else, no dramas, nobody.
"You call me because it's a boxing fight and I'm the boss in this gym, me. You're a great fighter Jon, but you're no boxer that's for sure. All the best and good luck."
Jones is expected to defend his heavyweight belt against Stipe Miocic later this year, while Fury has reportedly been in talks over a fight with Demsey McKean in Australia.
