Les Ferdinand heaped praise on Bruno Guimaraes' after Newcastle's first-half performance against Everton. The Brazilian midfielder was at the centre of the Magpies' good play insider the opening 45 minutes, albeit Eddie Howe's side struggled to create any clear cut chances.
Newcastle supporters have been made to bide their time to see Guimaraes in action, but they've been impressed with the 24-year-old's performances. The January signing opened his account in fantastic fashion against Southampton last week but looked to make things tick at Goodison Park.
The former Magpies striker believes the creative midfielder was the "focal point for all Newcastle's attacking moves" but the Toon were unable to find the vital breakthrough. Ferdinand told Amazon Prime: "Every time he gets on the ball he’s looking to create chances for Newcastle. He wins the ball back and plays it easy. He’s the focal point for all of Newcastle’s attacking moves."
