Leonard Fournette Decried Buffalo Weather, and NFL Fans Were Like, ‘Who Wants to Tell Him?’

Bills running back Leonard Fournette has played for four teams in his organized football career: St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LSU, the Jaguars and the Buccaneers.

All of these teams have one thing in common—they are in warm-weather environments. If you want to avoid the cold in the United States, New Orleans to Baton Rouge to Jacksonville to Tampa is one of the best paths of residency you could imagine.

However, Fournette's life is different now. The veteran signed with Buffalo on Tuesday, and made his feelings about his new home perfectly clear on social media.

"No lie Buffalo colder than a penguin ass out here lord," he wrote on a 47-degree day on Lake Erie's eastern shore.

Fans and observers reacted humorously to Fournette's fish-out-of-water moment.

Denizens of Western New York were quick to inform Fournette that 47 degrees was actually balmy by Buffalo standards.

Many made note of Fournette's warm-weather background.

All in all, many were empathic toward the fact that newcomers to the Bills may need an adjustment period.

Fournette's adjustment will be an amusing storyline to watch with Buffalo poised to make a deep playoff run for a fourth consecutive year.
