Leona Maguire goes into the final round of the CME Group Tour Championship as the joint leader after shooting an incredible nine-under-par 63 on Saturday.
The Cavan golfer began the day four shots behind overnight leader Lydia Ko, but carded nine birdies without dropping a shot at the Tiburon Golf Club to take a share of the lead going into Sunday.
The final tournament of the season will see the winner pick up a cheque for $2million, which is the largest amount of prize money in the history of women's golf and $200,000 more than what the 2022 US Women's Open champion received.
Maguire and Ko have five shots on both Jeongeun Lee of South Korea and Scotland's Gemma Dryburgh.
Speaking on her plan for Sunday, Maguire said: “Just do what I did today, just try and hit really good shots and hopefully hold a few putts.
"We’ll see where Lydia gets to at the end of the day but ultimately just go out and play as well as I possibly can, especially if there’s bad weather, that’s all you can control. So [I’m] looking forward to one last walk of the season tomorrow."
