Anyone who wanted Leon Balogun to stay at Rangers need to make peace with the fact he didn't amid a raft of injuries at the club, according to ex-player Craig Moore.
The defender left Ibrox in the summer and ended a stint in free agency by joining English Championship club QPR - managed by former Light Blues assistant boss Michael Beale - earlier this season. He has impressed at Loftus Road as they launch a challenge for promotion to the English Premier League and it has some fans wondering why he wasn't kept around.
It's made even more apparent with Rangers suffering three long-term injuries to defenders Connor Goldson, John Souttar and Filip Helander. For former Govan defender Craig Moore, the goal has to be on reclaiming the Premiership title Celtic won in May, but Balogun's chances of playing when all centre-back's are fit and firing perhaps played a part in his exit. He told Go Radio: "The league is your bread and butter. Winning the title is what it is all about and the European stuff is a nice added bonus.

"Rangers made a decision on Balogun and he was no longer for them in terms of what they wanted to do moving forward. You have to respect that decision.
"You can argue whether it was the right or wrong decision. Helander picks up an injury. Goldson picked up an injury, Souttar.
"Leon King has come through. So they probably feel as if they have more than enough cover in the centre of defence. But sometimes injuries come in a cluster in one position. That will hurt any team."
