BBC bosses have made a major change to its TV schedule tonight (April 24) following the death of former Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman. It was announced earlier today that the dancer and choreographer had died at the age of 78 on Saturday night, just a few days short of his birthday on Tuesday.
Len had been diagnosed with bone cancer and announced his retirement from all TV work six months ago. Tributes have flooded for Len, who fronted the judging panel on the hit BBC show from 2004 until the 2016 Christmas Day special.
Among those paying tribute included fellow Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood, who said Len was a "gorgeous colleague and dear friend". In another tribute to the star, the BBC has now made a change to its TV line-up for this evening.

A special Strictly Len Goodman show, which was first broadcast in 2016 following his departure from the BBC show, has been added to the BBC One schedule at 10.40pm. The programme goes on for an hour and features behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from the world of Strictly.
Have I Got A Bit More News For You, which was originally due to be shown at 10.40pm, has been pushed back an hour. The show is an extended version of Friday night's 30-minute programme fronted by David Tennant.
Paying tribute to Len, BBC director-general Tim Davie said: "Len Goodman was a wonderful, warm entertainer who was adored by millions. He appealed to all ages and felt like a member of everyone’s family.
"Len was at the very heart of Strictly’s success. He will be hugely missed by the public and his many friends and family."
