Nottingham’s Leigh Wood has been forced to pull out of his WBA featherweight title defence against Mauricio Lara.
Gedling-born Wood was set to headline the card at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on September 24.
However, the 34-year-old has had to postpone the bout after picking up an injury in training.
Kid Galahad’s lightweight clash with Maxi Hughes now tops the bill on the Eddie Hearn-promoted Matchroom card.

It was due to be Wood’s second defence, following on from his knockout win over Michael Conlan in March.
Challenger Lara, meanwhile, announced himself on the world scene with a shock win over Leeds star Josh Warrington last year.
