Leicester City have been handed a boost over injury concerns for defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, ahead of the clash against Nottingham Forest.
The Reds travel to the King Power Stadium on Monday night in what could be a crucial match at the bottom of the Premier League table. Both teams are currently in the Premier League relegation zone, with Forest one place and three points above Leicester in 19th place.
Ahead of the match, Brendan Rodgers was handed a big injury concern when Ndidi returned to the club from international duty after taking part in just one training session. The Nigerian tweaked his hamstring before joining up with his national side, but after undergoing light training, the decision was taken for him to return to Leicester.

Upon his return, Ndidi underwent scans, and it has come back as positive news for the Foxes. According to BBC Sports reporter in Africa Oluwashima Okeleji (via LeicestershireLive ), the scans have shown that the midfielder has suffered a grade one hamstring tear.
With grade one being the most minor tear that can be suffered, there is a possibility that the player could return in time for the game against Forest on Monday evening. Ndidi is a key player for Leicester, and is likely to start in a defensive midfield role, although he has filled in at centre-back on occasion this season.
Like Ndidi, fellow Nigerian Emmanuel Dennis also pulled out of the squad during the international break. Following his withdrawal, Forest have sent a hint over his possible availability against Leicester by sharing a picture of the forward in training ahead of the game.
Leicester will definitely be without two players when Forest make the short journey. Full-backs Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand are recovering from long-term injuries.
