LEGO and Pokémon's collaboration is not yet over as a new release reveals the special minifigures that include a mix of new human characters.
LEGO x 'Pokémon' Reveals New Minifigures
LEGO and The Pokémon Company International have released five new sets for the LEGO Pokémon lineup, and the biggest news is the arrival of official LEGO Pokémon Trainer minifigures for the very first time.
The wave introduces brick-built versions of Red, Professor Oak, Picnicker, Pikachu, and Eevee alongside three large display sets recreating fan-favorite creatures and scenes from across the franchise.
The centerpiece of the announcement is the first-ever appearance of Pokémon Trainer minifigures in LEGO form. Red, Professor Oak, and Picnicker each receive their own minifigure, and Pikachu and Eevee appear as companion figures alongside them.
These are contained within the flagship set in the wave, the Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball set, which marks the first time LEGO has introduced minifigure-scale human characters from the "Pokémon" universe.
An additional standalone set, the Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, takes a different approach, recreating Red himself in a super-sized LEGO format at over 930 pieces.
The build features posable arms, legs, and a rotating head, showing Red in his iconic red cap, blue trousers, backpack, and vest with a Poke Ball in hand.
The Rayquaza set rounds out the character-driven highlights, featuring an exclusive minifigure of Lorekeeper Zinnia and recreating the iconic Sky Pillar scene from "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire" in 1,083 pieces.
The set stands at over 15 inches tall when complete.
LEGO x Pokémon Unveils New Poke Ball Set
The Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball is the most elaborate set in the wave. At 2,339 pieces, it builds a large-scale Poke Ball that can open and close, with a detailed interior containing multiple scenes from a Pokemon Trainer's journey.
Inside the Poke Ball, builders will find a battle scene and a recreation of Professor Oak's laboratory, with the three Trainer minifigures and Pokémon figures integrated throughout.
The Arcanine set is a fully posable, 1,190-piece build capturing the Fire-type Pokémon's stance and fur detail.
The Munchlax set brings the Normal-type in at 757 pieces, standing over 7 inches tall with posable arms and head, and includes small treat accessories to match the character's famously insatiable appetite.
When to Expect New Set and How Much?
LEGO opened pre-orders for all five sets on July 7, 2026. Four of the five sets will go on sale on August 1, 2026, including Munchlax at $69.99, Arcanine at $109.99, and Rayquaza at $129.99.
The two sets built around minifigures launch slightly later, both arriving on October 1, 2026. The Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball carries a price of $299.99, while the Up-Scaled Red Minifigure set is priced at $79.99.
All sets will be available through LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and select retailers at launch.
