Legendary QB Aaron Rodgers makes thoughts on future with Jets clear

Aaron Rodgers denied a recent report that he didn’t want to play for the New York Jets in 2025.

Rodgers is in the middle of a turbulent season with a 3-8 Jets team that isn’t any closer to breaking into the playoffs. They have dropped four of their last five games, including a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots back in October.

Rodgers has 2,442 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season. It hasn’t been the run anyone expected when he initially signed with the team, but according to Rodgers, he has given no indication he’s ready to see it end.

“As far as my future goes, I haven’t told anybody in my life that I wanna play in 2025 and not on the Jets,” said Rodgers on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. “That’s 100 percent false. I actually said the opposite. I said that I’m going to wait and see what happens at the end of the season.”

Rodgers’ future with the Jets organization remains uncertain. Nevertheless, he seems to at least be open to returning to what could be a competitive AFC East division in 2025.
